Commander Spoiler
http://mtgsalvation.com/commander-spoiler.html
Just added a few nice ones.
Edric, Spymaster of Trest
1UG
Legendary Creature - Elf Rogue
Whenever a creature deals combat damage to one of your opponents, that creature's controller may draw a card.
2/2
"I am not at liberty to reveal my sources, but I can assure you, the price on your head is high."
Illus. Volkan Baga
Wow, so every creature of yours becomes a Thieving Magpie, and every opponent has an incentive not to attack you. Very cool.
Skullbriar, the Walking Grave
BG
Legendary Creature - Zombie Elemental
Haste
Whenever Skullbriar, the Walking grave deals combat damage to a player, put a +1/+1 counter on it.
Counters remain on Skullbriar as it moves to any zone other than a player's hand or library.
1/1
Illus. Nils Hamm
Awesome!

Re: Commander Spoiler
Edric is kinda interesting, and will probably make for all kinds of weird attacks in multiplayer games.
My reaction to Skullbriar was "WHAT!?!". That is some downright wacky rules text and card.

Re: Commander Spoiler
i really want the spores guy to come out.... i really hope he interacts with Fallen Empires/Time Spiral fungi!
i like Basandra. i only wish that it also said "Creatures can't tap except to attack".
EDIT: or it said "Players can't cast spells or activate abilities during combat." with some clause that made Basandra's other ability not turned off by that one.

Re: Commander Spoiler
So wait, is it a typo or does Edric make everyone's creatures "thieving magpie". It doesnt say one of YOUR creatures. It just says when creatures deal damage to an opponent, that creatures controller may draw... That could hurt you more than help?
and so Skullbriar keeps counters even in the GY or when Exiled then? Or when Phased even! hahaha

Not a typo, and almost every time it helps you. The key line is "to one of your opponents." You will be attacked much less frequently, because you are the only player who doesn't provide card advantage when damaged. Your general will never die, because that takes away the card advantage engine from everyone. In the same way that Propaganda gently changes the target of attacks away from you, this card makes it so they want you and your general to survive, and you reap just as much card advantage from hitting all your opponents. I think it's a brilliant card

Re: Commander Spoiler
I really like the BW Vampire, that's a really nice set of abilities for his colors. I'd love the idea of sac'ing a creature at the end of your turn, swinging for a ton of damage, then killing one of your creatures during your combat step. Plus, as an added bonus you can use his abilities multiple times a turn if you have enough creatures to spare.
I think I'll need to get a few more copies of Gravepact, Phyrexian Arena, and Oversold Cemetery for EDH construction.

Re: Commander Spoiler
The other 36 new cards will include "Command Towers" which can produce mana
anybody speculate what that could mean? i bet they'll be Big Deck worthy too
Re: Commander Spoiler
Leading theory I've seen is they're either 'wedge' tri-lands or 'wedge' obelisks.
Another theory was there's one for each color and they have some ability that restricted for commander use. Like 'taps for black' and 'taps for any color or 2 colorless or something that can only be used to cast a commander'.
For Big Deck: If they're tri-lands, they're basically a must have. If they're obelisks, I don't think they'd be good enough. If they've got some ability that's restricted to commander use, they'll be useless.

Wedge tri-lands would be soooo sweet!

Re: Commander Spoiler
Yeah, they would be rather nifty. But I worry that they'd end up being the most expensive things on the secondary market to come out of these decks, barring some other overly bitchin' card.

Fixed.
I really do love both the graveyard creature and the magpie guy. I want both of them badly.

i'm definitely on board for Edric. he's also kind of a Brandon kind of card, i.e. giving people concessions.

What are your collective thoughts on my trading my foil Jace2 in for all 5 sets of these? I couldnt afford them otherwise.

Seems like a good idea to me, especially with the price for the complete set going at around $145 right now. You might be able to have some extra items thrown in depending on where prices rest on the release date.
Re: Commander Spoiler
Not knowing the current going rate for a foil Jace2, I'd say go for it. I'd be expecting his price to drop by some amount after he rotates in the fall, so it kinda makes sense to unload him soon. Especially if you don't have any particular need for him beyond trade bait (like you already have some non-foil Jace).
I would suggest maybe either waiting to see more of the decklists to make sure it's worth it to you (though the 5 Sol Rings and new cards probably help), or maybe seeing if you can get some extra stuff along with it.
