Should Back to Basics be banned?
Re: Big Deck Poll 9: Back to Basics?
I say No, it is VERY VERY annoying, but it backfired on me when I used it and seeing it destroyed made me happy.
I can see that Big Decks favor more non-basic lands and some of which come into play tapped, but you can just as easily use basic lands or use ways to get basics out faster which I did see in Big Decks also.
Annoying, yes. A pain in the ass, OH YES. Bannable, I don't think so. Easy to get rid of, backfires on the user, unless they somehow have a big deck centered around Back to Basics which means they would be slowed down by the lack of non-basics. This is also great tech against Maze of Ith which is pretty much a staple from what I have seen.

Unlike Price of Progress, which could easily eliminate several players in one fell swoop, this card only slows the game, it doesnt eliminate players.
It should not be banned, and is actually in 1 of my edh decks.

Re: Big Deck Poll 9: Back to Basics?
It's generally not a problem (thanks for taking care of that for me, Steve!) and it does encourage/help decks that don't have access to a $400 mana base.
