Either Mirrodin Pure, or New Phyrexia. They're not telling us which yet. I remember reading somewhere in the past that it would not be determined by the players in something like the prerelease (choosing factions) or game day, but I wonder how it is going to be determined.

Considering how long it probably takes to print, package, and distribute a new set, it's probably been pre-determined. I bet you five bucks it's a marketing gimmick and they're going to release both at the same time (2 smaller blocks at once, similar to Lorwyn/Morningtide).
Re: 3rd Set of Scars of Mirrodin Block - NEW PHYREXIA
yea, i can't see the way they could make two totally different sets, have the time to PRINT them, and then throw one out. one faction "won" in design a year ago.
either that, or both "sets" share roughly 80% of the same cards, and the winning faction will fill in the rest.
i don't know, the logistics of this is really killing it. second the marketing gimmick.
oh, and i'm betting that Phyrexia "wins", because Scars was 80% Mirran, Besieged looks to be even, so i'm guessing there will be an 80% Phyrexia slant in the third set to keep it about even across the block.
i still feel gypped in some weird way...

Let me clear this up: The winner was decided by us when we designed the block. The players do *not* influence who wins.

I think you have that confused with what I said before on here. During the prerelease you pick either Mirrodin Pure or New Pyhrexia packs (basically, one is all 'Bad Guys' and the other is all 'Good Guys') so it added a little 'Faction' type system to game day. The outcome is not up to the players; during the prerelease you either play ONLY the good guys or ONLY the bad guys.
I'd like to see Wiz stick with this in the future and maybe have a new keyword for it. Make some OP cards, but restrict them so you can't break the game with a single card (Although people try and succeed)
Allegiance

The Top 2 finishers with Mirran-affiliated decks receive a Pristine Talisman preview card from Mirrodin Pure. The Top 2 finishers with Phyrexia-affiliated decks receive a Suture Priest preview card from New Phyrexia! This is in addition to any Top 8 prize cards you might win for their overall event finish.

it's true. Action is New Phyrexia...
...and anyone who looked at the Name and Number Crunch (at MTGS) based on the wallpapers knew this two weeks ago.
