The timing couldnt be more perfect for a rogue deck win.
Ok, this is stupid amounts of money for playing magic all day.

Anyone into the idea of playtesting a new concept or solid deck build and going for it?

This will be after Zendikar comes out, so it'll be a bit tricky to tell what will be good or not at this point. With Lorywn leaving and Zendikar coming in the entire meta-game is going to be up in the air.

Either way, I'd really like to go as long as I can get a competitive deck together. I was thinking of a R/G ramp deck, but right now it's too hard to tell what will be good or not. I think if we pool our available cards together we could put together some great decks, so I say go for it!

Should the inspiration hit me, sure! More likely, I'll be a spectator.

Exactly why i suggested a rogue deck would be perfectly timed. Obviously Zendikar will play heavily into the build. We can assume almost every current archetype will fold or change dramatically.

White weenie will likely still have a place.
Mono R or B , or R/B Blightning could still be possible.
5 color will die as will faeries and Lark.

Without Kithkin, WW loses a lot of power (Wizened Cenn, the 2/2 for W, Knight of Meadowgrain, etc).

Let's take a look as the spoiler unravels.

Bleeeeeh!

Why does it have to be the weekend before PT: Austin?!? That is too much travel money for back-to-back weekends for me to attend both.

If it is one month later, I can do both Sad

I'm tempted to build a UBW mill deck with Hedron Crab, Mind Funeral, Haunting Echos, and Archive Trap (with Path and Day of Judgment as board control) but getting all the lands, DoJ's, and other rares seems a bit hard to do in just 2 weeks.

Edit: Why couldn't they just re-print Wrath of God!

you should check mtg salvation for their version of this deck. It doesnt run the crab but theres debate on using the wall of denial or going completely creatureless. It might assist you in your build.

I also considered running this deck fwiw so im guessing you will likely run into a mirror. be prepared.

Yeah, I was looking at the same thread, I perfer the Crab based build with wall of Denial... since how cool would it be to win off a freaking Crab?!?

But yeah, I'm not sure I'll end up going, or playing this deck. Getting all the cards together in such short notice would be a real pain, plus I'd rather not go on an untested deck. We'll see though, I'll snoop around AU on Friday, see if any weird rogue decks seem option and are easy to build (like the mono-black vampire deck that popped up after M10 went out).
