Mirrodin Besieged Prerelease

So who all is going to the convention center in Philly for ze prerelease?
I am, and should be down there first thing in the morning.

I as well will be in Philly early.

I'll be there around 8:30am for the early flights.

i'll be with Jim, i.e. my car is in the shop again.

cant go to philly, I will be at the midnight prerelease at cyborg 1 tonite, go back there tomorrow at 6pm, then go to the sunday event at comics and more.

I will be there, leaving Ambler on the 8:05 am train, I will have Brian Bolger in tow. See ya'll there.

went to cyborg 1 midnight prerelease with chuck and had a pretty good time. Didnt get too much stuff, just a hero of bladehold(not the prerlease one) and ended up 3-3. Went back saturday night for another event. Opened much better stuff, including foil elspeth tirel, blightsteel colossus, and platnum emperion. Again went 3-3 with a mediocre deck. Sunday I went to 7th dimensions with Dan. Opened some decent stuff and ran a blue/white splash black for Go for the Throat. I had the White crusader and saltblast angel for bombs. Every one of my opponents had 4 or more bombs in their decks. It was really frustrating to play against people with bomb after bomb. Through tight play I went 3-2, losing to mulligans in one match, and rediculous poison cards in the other. Really liked the deck though. Me and Dan sticked around for an 8 man draft at the end. My deck is awesome. I only went 2-1 with it, but that was because I drew about 14 lands in each of 3 games. One game had me with 15 lands and 5 spells, really frustrating and disappointing to lose that way. Here is the deck list.

This deck draws a ton of cards and has a ton of synergy. I love the oculus by itself, but it is amazing with the vivisection and the mortarpod. My games usually went, play horizon spellbomb, play 2 drop, block and trade with guy, play guy, vivisection, play neurok commandos, kill and bounce every creature opponent plays and win with commandos. Yes I do have 3 great bombs, but I only ever played the red one. Never drew the blue, and didnt need to use the black one.

The best card for me all weekend, and possibly the best common in the format was the quicksilver geyser. That card slows people down so much and wrecks people plans so effectively, that I drafted blue just for it. It is an absolutely amazing card.
