Warstorm is a competitive, fast paced, and fun TCG on Facebook.

The game has five factions: Human, Elf, Orc, Undead, Demon. You make your deck of 7 cards by picking a Hero card of that faction and then adding in cards that correspond with the Heroes faction and what it's deck restrictions are. So your deck includes: your hero and 6 other cards, being either Units, Artifacts, and or Spells. Always equaling 6 though.

For example:

Pozak is a Human Hero. Only Human cards can be in your deck. Pozak allows you to have 6 Unit cards (think of them as the soldiers that help fight), 0 Artifacts (these are the weapons and gear that go on your Heroes or Units and make them stronger), and 0 Spells (these cards do some kind of effect and then get discarded)

Pozak has an 8 with an hourglass on the bottom left hand corner of his card called the Wait. Now, unlike Magic the Gather, cards do not cost mana or any kind of resource to cast; when you draw the card the Wait time on it gets reduced by 1 every turn. Once it reaches zero, the card is played. For unit cards, the numbers on the right hand side indicate how much damage it does and how much damage it can take before being discarded. And, like all card games, there are abilities that do different things like dealing damage directly to the opponent or getting cards back out of the discard.

The object of the game is to use your deck to get your opponents morale down to zero or less before they do that to you. There are other alternative win conditions like if you have no more cards in play, in hand, and in your deck (IE. Can't do anything, so why bother showing you 10 turns of you taking damage when we can just rush to the finish) and, RARELY comes to this unless it is wall vs wall with nothing else happening, after 60 turns both players start losing morale.

Unlike most games, once you click the play button, the game takes over and plays for you. So you aren't clicking to draw, you aren't clicking to attack, and you are not picking who gets to equip the artifact or who the spells/ability target; the game is completely automatic, but don't let that keep you at bay from this fantastic game. It actually makes the game even more fun and it means you can click to play a game so you can win a new card or some silver to buy more packs and then go off to another site while your match it played.

You can combine your decks (no matter the faction) to play in multiples. So a 2v2, you can use an Orc and a Human deck versus someone using an Undead and Demon. This goes all the way up to 4v4 and can result in some interesting reactions between cards.

You earn Silver and WarCash from battling other players (friends you are neighbors with or just randomly picked people) as well as doing a campaign which will yield loads of silver as well as free cards. WarCash is used to buy really expensive things and you can purchase WarCash with real money. Before you complain, I can safely say that you can get a good portion of cards from silver alone. Also, WarCash can be gifted to you from neighbors, you can find it randomly during missions or playing against other people in treasure chests, and if you log in and play each day you earn ~4-5 WarCash right there. As well as buying cards you can also buy singles. Obviously, rarer cards equals more money, but mostly you will get some good staple cards you need or really rare heroes from the singles shop with just silver. Every 7 hours the singles shop refreshes to reveal new cards, but if you don't feel like waiting 1 WarCash will refresh the page right away.

WarStorm is a great online TCG, probably one of the best free TCGs I have ever seen. I highly recommend checking out this game and add me as a neighbor. Wink

Unfortunately, this game is dead.
What do you think about the Berserk Cataclysm, appeared the same day when Warstorm passed away?

Yeah, Zynga ran Warstorm into the ground by abandoning the game and then shutting it down a year after abandoning it.

Berserk is good. It has a lot of potential, but still a long way to go. I've been talking to the developers since the alpha released and they have been listening to the player base which is awesome. Tons of unbalanced cards though and it takes two good days to get the better quality packs. It also has an energy system which is extremely lame, but since you don't lose energy (mana in this case) when you win a game and it regens 1 point every 2 minutes (games usually lasting that long anyway) you really should never run out of energy; more of a reason to get rid of it, it's redundant.

Right now, 2.5/5 stars, but they are going in the right direction and it's better than anything else out there right now.
