Standard Fish - UW

John W. and I were talking about this while driving to Red Caps on Sunday. With Lodestone Golem, Aethersworn Cannonist, and Meddling Mage all available, I think you could get a decent deck going. Here's what I came up with:

4x Aethersworn Cannonist
3x Kor Hookmaster
4x Lodestone Golemn

4x Path into Exile
4x Treasure Hunt
4x Into the Roil
3x Negate
2x Sleep

Planeswalkers: 1
1x Elspeth, Knight Errant

Lands: 24
4x Glacial Fortress
2x Celestial Colonnade
4x Halimar Depths
2x Arid Mesa
4x Misty Rainforest
5x Island
3x Plains

John suggested I post it up here so we could start getting some ideas going.

Other possible cards include Mind Control, Whiplash Trap, or going with a Exalted theme with Akrasian Squire and Ardent Plea. Let me know what you think!

your post should be UW fish not UB fish. The list actually looks really solid right now. I think that the two sphinx should actually be spell pierce or negates. You should also probably run the full 4 colonnade in the deck, 8 dual lands help the mana base a ton. The halimar depths are good but you have almost no way of actually abusing them. You have no shuffle effects and only treasure hunt to draw cards. I think that you want either more dual lands, some fetch lands, or just basics that come into play untapped.

I think that you need some 1 drops in the deck. Either a 1 drop creature like akrasian squire, or ponder. Both these cards a great turn 1 and still have value later in the game.

Edit: What about Hindering Light rather than Negate. It's a bit more narrow, but it does draw a card.

What about Calcite Snapper over Deft Duelist? Survives Earthquakes and pyroclasms.

I think Hindering Light is too conditional, but try it out.

And yes put Ponder in there.
