Red Cap's draft 1/3/10
Drafted nearly mono U with 5 W cards
Not much to report, went 2-0 and split, but played it out for 60-40 split of winnings. Won the first game handily, lost 2nd close, got blown out 3rd.
I feel like i have a handle on this set, and to be honest, im over it.
Bring on WW.

Re: Red Cap's draft 1/3/10
You can't be over it until you've built the Uber-Allies deck. Then and only then will you training be complete... er, I mean can you move on to Worldwake...
Re: Red Cap's draft 1/3/10
speaking of allies, for the first time i saw the rare ally with the reveal and discard ability the hard way last night.
OUCH.
Actually my first opponent last night was Ted Renner. He is a very good, highly ranked local player (he top 8'ed with the vamp deck that is th3e example for vamp decks on mtg salvation) and i did NOT want to play him. Ha. I didnt let myself get pysched out though and played pretty well in beating him. However, i made 1 awful play mistake he pointed out to me after.
He was at 1 life in game 2 and i was probably distracted by the thought of beating him and i played the artifact that you can equip then tap/sac to do 2 dmg and like an idiot i didnt read the card closely.
I just equipped my gomozoa and said go.
He looked at me long... you know the look you give someone when you are trying to send them a message to be nice without actually pointing it out. I remember distinctly him giving me the long look even. i thought he was trying to jedi mind trick me into losing or something (i think i was at 15 life). FOUR turns went by, then i finally drew a welkin tern and beat him with it.
After he was like... "you MIGHT want to reread that card"
This is why im a bad magic player.
