Re: practice NPH drafts
Going to look at this later ... But I think with all the Phyrexian mana cards floating around Mindcrank will be a good card to pick up. Just my opinion.

Re: practice NPH drafts
I am seeing some cards stick around WAY to long ... I had a Mental Misstep come back around ... No WAY that should happen.
I am seeing some good cards for drafting (Furnace Scamp, Impaler Shrike, Gitaxian Probe, Artillerize) that seem to stick around to long in the sim.
I did manage to get the new sword and Batterskull in my first two packs and have a Grixis deck going. No idea how to link to it ...

Re: practice NPH drafts
There are no good draft sims. I use them to get familiar with seeing the cards so I'm not blindsided when I do a draft in real life. They're kind of good deckbuilding exercises too, but I already knew that having 10 pieces of top quality removal in my deck is good.
The only reason to take Mental Misstep is for the monetary value. There are no one drops worth countering in Scars Limited. Or Rise Limited. Or Zendikar. Or pretty much any limited format (even Cube).

Re: practice NPH drafts
Maybe we can discuss the archetypes atleast that we are seeing from triple NPH drafts.

Re: practice NPH drafts
well if these archetypes are anywhere near valid, i've been finding some strong white builds, with green or blue. red could be better (too close on infect/non-infect). black is weird... much less infect overall, but i guess that's because it's meant to be drafted with the previous two sets.
on a related note, we might need to press C&M into doing the official draft format (NPH-MBS-SOM).

Doing some practice drafts, i found this pack to be such a tough choice i wanted to ask everyone's opinion.
Whats your 1st pick here?
There are several arguable choices.

Vapor Snag
Lost Leonin
Flameborn Viron
Plains
Death-Hood Cobra
Volt Charge
Shrine of Loyal Legions
Shrine of Boundless Growth
Dispatch
Xenograft
Mutagenic Growth

Volt Charge, with Pith Driller a very distant second.
Re: practice NPH drafts
I'd second the Volt Charge, it's a really ridiculous even if you don't end up using the Proliferate. Three damage can kill pretty much 80% of the creatures in the format.
