Looks like there's a big Magic Event going on this Saturday at the Convention Center in Center City:

Extended, Vintage, and EDH events as well as $15 single-elimination drafts starting at 10am Saturday morning. I'll be heading down since I'm skipping draft on Friday, who else is interested?

Does not appear to be, but they do have Drafts and CE Rotisserie Draft, so seems pretty cool to me. Since I'm going to Dan's show Friday night this will be my Magic indulgence for the weekend.

Got there at 10:30, played some casual T2 games and traded a lot, finally drafted at 3:30, got my ass kicked in the first round by some PTQ guy who made fun of math skills...

All in all though, a fun day. Finally got a full playset of Celestial Colonnades, Archives Traps, and some other decent cards.

I was just playing my janky BR Control Deck, mostly against Jund, Valakut, and Boss Naya. I mostly got my ass kicked since my deck is pretty crappy, but I learned some valuable lessons, like how Tectonic Edge fucks up most decks in the format and that UW seeks to win by boring the crap out of the opponent.
